Formula E 2027 · 18–19 December 2026Jeddah E-Prix 2026: season opener on the Red Sea Corniche
The Jeddah E-Prix 2026 is the opening double-header of the Formula E 2026-27 season, held on 18 and 19 December 2026 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. This guide covers what to expect from the waterfront track, how to plan the trip, and how to be first in line when tickets are released.
Jeddah E-Prix 2026 dates and format
The Jeddah E-Prix 2026 runs on 18 and 19 December 2026 and forms rounds one and two of the championship. It is a double-header, so two separate races take place on the same circuit over the weekend. Both dates are confirmed. Session times have not been published, and the organiser normally releases the timetable a few weeks before the event.
Because this is the first race of the new Gen4 era, the weekend will be the first public look at the 600 kW cars in racing conditions, as well as at the new teams Opel and Citroën. The full picture of the grid is on our Formula E 2026-27 calendar page.
The Jeddah E-Prix circuit: the Corniche explained
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a waterfront street track on the Red Sea front, north of the city centre. Street circuits tend to have narrow sections, close walls and little room for error, which suits the close, tactical racing that Formula E is known for.
What to expect from a Jeddah E-Prix weekend
Expect grandstands along the sea front, which means you can combine the racing with a seaside setting. If you can only attend one day, check the ticket categories once they are released.
Getting to the Jeddah E-Prix and where to stay
The circuit sits on the Corniche, north of central Jeddah, so staying in the city or along the waterfront keeps travel simple. We will not suggest specific properties, but the city centre and waterfront areas are the natural base for a race weekend.
Visa and travel checks for the Jeddah E-Prix
Saudi Arabia has entry rules that depend on your nationality, including e-visa options for some travellers.
