MotoGP 2027 calendar: all 22 rounds, venues and how to plan your season

The MotoGP 2027 calendar runs to 22 rounds, opening in Buriram on 7 March and closing in Cheste on 28 November. Adelaide is a brand-new venue and Argentina returns. This page lists every round, the pre-season tests, the confirmed line-ups and practical advice for choosing which Grands Prix to attend.

The MotoGP 2027 calendar at a glance

The MotoGP 2027 calendar has 22 rounds, starting with the Thai Grand Prix at Buriram on 7 March and finishing with the Valencia Grand Prix at Cheste on 28 November. That is a long campaign, stretching from the Asian spring through the European summer and into a flyaway autumn run across Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.

The list below was unveiled in late September 2026. Because final confirmation of the full calendar is still pending, treat every date as provisional for now. We update this page as soon as anything changes, and our e-mail alert will warn you before you book flights or accommodation.

Every race day is a Sunday, and each weekend runs from Friday to Sunday. Exact session times for 2027 have not been released: the organisers normally publish the timetable a few weeks before each event.

What is new in MotoGP 2027

New venues on the MotoGP 2027 calendar

Adelaide joins the MotoGP 2027 calendar as a new street circuit venue on 14 November, with the details still to be announced. Argentina is back on the schedule after missing the 2026 season, and Hungary is not on the 2027 list.

Technical rules for MotoGP 2027

The big story is a new set of regulations. Engines drop to 850 cc with a 75 mm bore, fuel tanks are limited to 20 litres, and the fuel will be 100 percent sustainable. Pirelli becomes the sole tyre supplier under a five-year deal that runs until 2031, ride-height devices are banned, and a new Sprint qualifying weekend format is introduced.

For spectators, the practical consequence is that weekend structure may differ from what you are used to. Wait for the official timetable before you plan arrival times.

Pre-season tests and launch for MotoGP 2027

The MotoGP 2027 season starts well before the lights go out in Thailand. The first dates in the diary are:

  • Valencia test at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, starting on 1 December 2026;
  • Sepang shakedown on 29 and 30 January 2027, followed by the Sepang test on 31 January and 1 February;
  • Buriram test on 6 and 7 February;
  • season launch on 21 February at Botafogo Beach, Rio de Janeiro.

Test days are a cheaper and quieter way to see the bikes in the flesh, although access for fans varies from venue to venue and should be checked once the organisers publish details.

Teams and riders in the MotoGP 2027 grid

The MotoGP 2027 entry list has 11 teams across five manufacturers. Confirmed line-ups so far include Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta at Ducati Lenovo, Francesco Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi at Aprilia Racing, Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura at Monster Energy Yamaha, and Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio at Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

Other confirmed pairings are Enea Bastianini and Raul Fernandez at Trackhouse, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Izan Guevara at Pramac Yamaha, Luca Marini and Senna Agius at Tech3, Joan Mir and Daniel Holgado at Gresini, and Fermin Aldeguer and Nicolo Bulega at VR46. Honda is only partly confirmed, with Fabio Quartararo named and the rest to be confirmed, while the LCR line-up is also still open.

The 2026 title fight that shapes MotoGP 2027

Marc Marquez won the 2025 championship with Ducati. In the current 2026 season, after round 17 in Indonesia, Jorge Martin leads Marquez by just two points with five rounds remaining: Australia, Malaysia, Qatar, Portugal and Valencia. The title is not decided as of 11 October 2026.

Whatever the result, it sets the tone for 2027, when the grid is reshuffled. If you plan to follow the story live, the closing rounds of this season are an excellent preview of the rivalries to expect.
