MotoGP in Europe 2027: Your Guide to the 13 European Grand Prix Weekends

Thirteen of the 22 rounds on the 2027 MotoGP calendar are in Europe, from Jerez in May to Valencia in November. This guide walks through each weekend in order, shares the verified practical facts we hold on circuits and grandstands, and helps you decide which rounds deserve a place in your travel plans.

MotoGP in Europe 2027: the 13 rounds at a glance

The official 22-round calendar was revealed on 25 September 2026 and is still described as provisionally scheduled. Hungary is not on the 2027 list, and Adelaide is the new venue. The table shows the race day, which is always a Sunday, for each European weekend.

MotoGP in Europe 2027: the spring opening in Spain, France and Italy

Jerez opens MotoGP in Europe 2027

The European swing opens at Jerez de la Frontera on 9 May. The circuit is close to Jerez, about 90 km south of Seville, and the local airport is the simplest way in if you fly. Our verified notes mention a grandstand category called Stands 360, so look for it when you compare seats.

Spring in southern Spain can be warm. Pack sun protection and plan for a long day on the hillsides and terraces.

Le Mans and MotoGP in Europe: the Bugatti circuit

The French round on 16 May uses the Bugatti circuit, which is 4.185 km long. It shares the pit area and the first corner, the Dunlop bridge, with the full 24-hour circuit. The venue is compact, which makes it easy to walk between viewing areas.

Mugello grandstands for MotoGP in Europe

The Italian round on 30 May takes place near Scarperia e San Piero, in the province of Florence. Our verified list of Mugello grandstands includes Poltronissima, Silver, Biondetti, Bronze, Poggiosecco, Tribuna (Materassi), Materassi Laterale and 58. General admission tickets are also on sale. Ducati and Aprilia are both based in Italy, so expect a passionate crowd.

MotoGP in Europe: Catalonia, the Netherlands and Germany in June and July

Montmelo, the Catalan stop of MotoGP in Europe

The Catalan round on 13 June is held at Montmelo, close to Barcelona. It is a good pick if you want to combine a Grand Prix with a city break. Hotels fill quickly, so decide on a base early.

Assen: Geert Timmer Tribune at MotoGP in Europe

The Dutch round on 27 June is at Assen. The verified grandstand for the weekend is the Geert Timmer Tribune. Flat Dutch countryside means cycling is a popular way to get around, and the weather can change fast, so bring a waterproof layer.

Sachsenring: German MotoGP in Europe weekend

The German round on 11 July takes place at Hohenstein-Ernstthal, near Chemnitz in Saxony. The Sachsenring is famously left-hand heavy and tight, and riders often describe it as physical. Viewing slopes around the circuit give a good overview of the action.

MotoGP in Europe 2027: Brno, Silverstone and Spielberg in the summer

Brno on the MotoGP in Europe calendar

The Czech Grand Prix is on 18 July, one week after Germany. That makes it easy to link the two weekends in one trip, especially if you are driving through central Europe.

Silverstone: the British round of MotoGP in Europe

The British round on 15 August is at Silverstone. Camping is a major part of the British motorsport culture, and our Silverstone camping 2027 guide covers the options in detail. Weather can be unpredictable even in August.

Spielberg: Austrian MotoGP in Europe weekend

The Austrian round on 29 August is held in Spielberg, in the hills of Styria. KTM is based in Mattighofen, also in Austria, so this is a home weekend for the orange brand.

MotoGP in Europe 2027: the autumn finale in Italy, Aragon, Portugal and Valencia

Misano Adriatico: San Marino MotoGP in Europe

The San Marino round on 12 September is held at Misano Adriatico, on the Adriatic coast. It is a seaside destination, which makes it attractive for families and groups who want a mix of racing and beach time.

Aragon, Portimao and Valencia: MotoGP in Europe finale

Alcaniz hosts the Aragon round on 19 September, Portimao in Portugal follows on 3 October and Cheste near Valencia closes the European leg on 28 November. Autumn weather can be mild but unsettled, so check forecasts before packing.

Valencia hosts the first official test of the new era on 1 December 2026, so the venue has a role at both ends of the regulation reset. If you want a long trip with a finale feel, the last European weekend is the one to circle.

MotoGP in Europe 2027: the riders and teams to watch

The 2027 grid has a lot of new combinations, which makes the European rounds even more interesting. Marc Marquez, the 2025 champion, and Pedro Acosta are both Spanish and ride for the factory Ducati squad, so the Spanish weekends at Jerez, Montmelo, Alcaniz and Cheste should be especially lively.

MotoGP in Europe for Italian fans

Francesco Bagnaia moves to Aprilia and joins Marco Bezzecchi, while Fermin Aldeguer and Nicolo Bulega race for VR46 on Ducati machinery. Italian supporters will have plenty of reasons to fill the grandstands at Mugello and Misano.

MotoGP in Europe and the 2026 title fight

Jorge Martin joins Yamaha for 2027 and leads the 2026 standings by two points over Marc Marquez with five rounds left, so the championship story will carry into the new season. Nothing is decided yet, and the 2027 regulations make every team harder to predict: 850 cc engines, 20-litre tanks, sustainable fuel and a single tyre supplier.

Planning MotoGP in Europe 2027: tickets, travel and budgeting tips

Choosing between 13 weekends can feel overwhelming. Start with what matters most: a famous circuit, a favourite rider, good weather or an easy trip from home. Then compare the available ticket categories using the Tickets button on this page.

Book early and stay flexible for MotoGP in Europe

Popular rounds like Italy, Catalonia and Spain tend to attract the biggest crowds, so book as soon as the sale opens. Because the calendar is provisional, look for flexible travel options until dates are firmly confirmed.

Getting to the circuit: MotoGP in Europe travel

Rural circuits such as Assen, Alcaniz and Spielberg are usually easiest to reach by car, so check local transport options before you book. Arrive early on race day and expect queues at entrances.

Combining MotoGP in Europe with a Formula 1 trip

Many fans mix two-wheel and four-wheel racing in the same summer. A British trip can include the MotoGP weekend at Silverstone, and an Italian trip can include MotoGP at Mugello or Misano alongside the Monza grandstands 2027 guide. Belgium is another option, with advice in our Spa-Francorchamps camping 2027 guide.

Planning around the calendar gaps helps: there are four weeks between Brno and Silverstone, which leaves plenty of time for other events or a holiday.
