Lando Norris won his first world title in 2025. The 2026 championship is still open: after the Singapore Grand Prix on 11 October 2026, Kimi Antonelli leads with 340 points, ahead of George Russell on 238, Lewis Hamilton on 229 and Max Verstappen on 221.

Nationalities and fans: F1 drivers 2027 around the world

The 2027 line-up includes drivers from Britain, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Canada, Argentina, Thailand, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Finland and Australia. That diversity shows in the grandstands, where flags and chants change from one race to the next.

If you want to experience a driver's home crowd, pick the race in his country; if you want a neutral atmosphere, choose one with no home driver. Either way, the ticket FAQ will help you prepare.

What the F1 drivers 2027 grid tells us about the season

The grid mixes experience and youth. Veterans such as Hamilton, Alonso, Hulkenberg and Bottas share the field with Antonelli, Hadjar and Bortoleto, who arrived in 2025. Several teams change engine supplier, with Audi and Cadillac added to the list of manufacturers and customers, so the 2027 pecking order may look different from this year's.

Two teams, McLaren and Mercedes, will share Mercedes engines with Williams and Alpine, which will make for interesting comparisons between works and customer cars. Tracking these on track is easier from a seat with a clear view of the braking zones.
