Motorsport Calendar 2027: Dates for F1, MotoGP, WEC and Other Series
The motorsport calendar 2027 covers seven major series from January to December. Here are the key dates, the weekends where several championships collide, and a simple method for choosing races by region and season, with links to each detailed calendar. Everything is based on the schedules available on 11 October 2026.
Motorsport calendar 2027: how to use it
The calendar below is a summary. Each series has its own page with every round, city and date, which you can open from the links in this text. Dates marked as confirmed come from the championships' published 2027 schedules; for IndyCar, several rounds are still provisional or to be confirmed, and we say so clearly.
A good method is to choose first by region, then by month, and last by the sort of weekend you want: city street race, classic permanent circuit or endurance event. Come back often, because a few dates can still move before the season begins. Our Motorsport 2027 home page gives an overview.
New or returning venues are worth noting: Portugal in Portimão on 20 June, Madrid on 12 September and Istanbul on 3 October all feature, while Las Vegas is on 20 November.
MotoGP 2027 calendar: key dates
The MotoGP 2027 calendar has 22 rounds. It opens in Thailand on 7 March and closes in Valencia on 28 November. The European leg includes Jerez on 9 May, Le Mans on 16 May, Mugello on 30 May, Montmeló on 13 June, Assen on 27 June, Silverstone on 15 August and Misano on 12 September.
The final flyaway rounds in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia come in October and November, before the season returns to Spain for the finale.
Some weekends are packed. On 30 May, the Indianapolis 500, NASCAR's Charlotte race, MotoGP in Italy and Formula E in London all take place. On 6 June, F1 is in Monaco while WRC is in Japan and IndyCar visits Detroit. On 11 July, F1 is in Austria, MotoGP in Germany, WEC in São Paulo and WRC in Rome.
On 12 September, F1 races in Madrid, MotoGP in San Marino and WEC in Austin. If you follow more than one series, plan your season so you do not have to choose between two favourites on the same weekend.
Choosing from the 2027 motorsport calendar by region
In Europe, the summer window from May to September is dense with races and offers easy travel by train, road or air. The Americas dominate February to April, and again October to November. Asia and the Middle East host the openers in March and the late-season rounds.
If you have time for one trip, pick a race that is easy to reach and has good facilities. If you can travel further, combine two events in one region, such as Austin and Mexico City in late October. See the travel guides for ideas and the ticket FAQ for booking advice.
2027 dates that are not yet fixed
A number of IndyCar rounds are listed as provisional or to be confirmed, so do not book travel for them until the dates are final. The MotoGP calendar is also subject to final ratification, and schedules inside each race weekend are not yet published.
Organisers release session times a few weeks before each event, and we do not guess at them. The alert box on this page is the easiest way to hear about updates.
