IndyCar Detroit 2027 date and calendar position

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is provisionally listed for Sunday 6 June 2027, with the weekend beginning on Friday 4 June. In 2026 the race ran on 31 May, so the round moves a little later. It is the first event after the Indianapolis 500 on 30 May, which makes it a natural next stop for fans following the series.

Treat the date as provisional until the series releases its complete calendar.

The circuit is laid out on public roads in Detroit, with temporary barriers, tight corners and little room for error. Restarts and safety cars often change the order, so the finish can be unpredictable.
