Motorsport 2027: the season at a glance
The 2027 season starts early and finishes late. Formula E starts in December 2026, MotoGP opens in Thailand on 7 March, NASCAR starts with the Clash on 13 February and the Daytona 500 follows on 21 February, and the World Rally Championship opens in Monte Carlo on 24 January. Formula 1 begins in Bahrain on 14 March and ends in Abu Dhabi on 12 December.
In total, our calendar covers seven series: F1, MotoGP, WEC, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR and WRC. Each has its own character, travel pattern and kind of ticket, so the first step is to decide what sort of weekend you want. Use the full motorsport calendar 2027 to see all dates side by side.
F1 2027: 24 Grands Prix from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi
The Formula 1 calendar has 24 races, all confirmed. After Bahrain on 14 March come Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan and China, then Miami on 2 May and Canada on 23 May. The European summer includes Monaco on 6 June, Portugal, Britain on 4 July, Austria, Belgium on 25 July and Hungary.
The autumn leg starts with Monza on 5 September, then Madrid, Baku, Istanbul and Singapore, before the Americas (Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo and Las Vegas) and the finale in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Browse the F1 2027 calendar for every date and city.
Eighteen drivers are confirmed for next season. Haas and Racing Bulls have not yet announced theirs, so those two line-ups remain open for now. For the title picture, Kimi Antonelli leads the 2026 standings with 340 points after Singapore, ahead of George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris is the 2025 champion.
MotoGP 2027: 22 rounds and new technical rules
The MotoGP 2027 calendar has 22 rounds, from Thailand on 7 March to Valencia on 28 November. The season is launched on 21 February at Botafogo Beach in Rio de Janeiro, a sign of the series' global reach. European rounds include Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Montmeló, Assen and Misano.
Regulations change in 2027. Engines move to 850 cc, the fuel tank is 20 litres, fuel is fully sustainable and Pirelli becomes the sole tyre supplier. A new sprint qualifying weekend format is also introduced, and ride-height devices are banned. The 2026 title is still open between Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez with five rounds to go, so the story continues into next year.
Endurance and electric racing: WEC 2027 and Formula E
The WEC 2027 calendar contains nine rounds, opening in Qatar on 27 March and ending in Bahrain on 6 November. The centrepiece is the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 12 June, where a day and a night of racing draws a camping crowd from across Europe.
Formula E's thirteenth season runs from December 2026 to July 2027 and introduces the Gen4 car. The Formula E 2026-27 calendar includes Monaco, Berlin, London and Tokyo, and the races are held in city centres, which makes them easy to combine with a weekend away.
IndyCar, NASCAR and WRC in 2027
American racing is built around ovals and road courses. The IndyCar 2027 schedule is provisional beyond round ten, but the Indianapolis 500 is confirmed for 30 May. NASCAR has 38 confirmed events, headlined by the Daytona 500 on 21 February; see the NASCAR 2027 schedule.
Rallying is covered by the WRC 2027 calendar, with 15 events starting in Monte Carlo on 24 January and ending in Saudi Arabia on 28 November. WRC27 regulations replace Rally1 cars, but no 2027 line-ups are confirmed yet, so we do not name drivers.
How to choose your Motorsport 2027 races
Start with the kind of experience you want. Street circuits like Monaco give close views and a city atmosphere. Permanent circuits such as Silverstone or Monza have large grandstands and camping. Endurance events like Le Mans suit people who enjoy a long weekend with friends.
Then look at timing. Several weekends are busy: on 30 May, for example, the Indy 500, NASCAR's Charlotte race, MotoGP in Italy and Formula E in London all take place. On 11 July, F1 is in Austria while MotoGP is in Germany and WRC is in Rome. Choosing one event per weekend avoids clashes.
Our motorsport travel guides 2027 help with first-time visits, camping and grandstand choice, while the calendar shows what else is on.
Motorsport 2027 for first-timers: simple advice
If you are new to live racing, start with an event that is easy to reach and has plenty of facilities. Bring ear protection, sun cream and a light rain jacket, and arrive early to find your seat. Many fans listen to commentary on a radio or phone to follow strategy.
A weekend usually includes practice, qualifying and the race, plus support events. The first day is often the quietest and most relaxed, which is a good way to get a feel for a circuit before the biggest crowds arrive.
A month-by-month plan for Motorsport 2027
February is for NASCAR and the Daytona 500 and for Formula E in the Americas. March and April bring the first MotoGP and F1 rounds in Asia, the Middle East and Australia, along with the WEC opener in Qatar. May is crowded: Miami, Canada, the Indy 500 and Monaco on the first weekend of June.
June and July are the heart of the European summer, with Le Mans, Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps. September brings Monza and Madrid, followed by an October and November filled with the Americas, Asia and the Gulf.
You do not need to follow everything. Pick three or four events that suit your budget and your travel time, then use the calendar to check for clashes and the alert on this page to be told when information is released.
