The Autotrader 400 is the second of 36 points races. It follows the Daytona 500 by a week and precedes the trip west to COTA, so drivers who struggled in Florida have an early chance to put things right. The weekend runs from Friday 26 February to Sunday 28 February 2027. The date is confirmed; session times have not been released.

The track in Hampton used to be known as Atlanta Motor Speedway and sits to the south of the Georgia capital. After a reconfiguration carried out for the 2022 season, it now has steeper banking and a tighter surface, and the racing there looks far more like a superspeedway than an old intermediate. Cars run in packs, drafts form quickly and overtaking can happen at several points around the lap.

For spectators, that means plenty of action all the way round, and the grandstand seats have a good view of the field bunching together on the straights.
