Monaco E-Prix 2027: two races on the Grand Prix circuit

The Monaco E-Prix 2027 is a Formula E double-header on 1 and 2 May 2027, run on the Circuit de Monaco. This guide explains the weekend, why Monaco is special for electric racing, how to arrive by train and where visitors usually stay.

Monaco E-Prix 2027 dates and format

The Monaco E-Prix 2027 is a two-race weekend on 1 and 2 May 2027, counting as rounds eight and nine of the Formula E 2026-27 season. Both days are confirmed. Session times are not public yet, and the organiser will publish them a few weeks before the event.

It follows Sanya and comes just before Berlin, so it opens the busy European stretch. For every date, see the Formula E 2026-27 calendar.

Why the Monaco E-Prix circuit is special

Monaco is a narrow street circuit where overtaking is difficult, and that remains true for electric cars. The fact that the E-Prix uses the Grand Prix circuit gives the weekend a rare sense of occasion for a championship that often races on temporary tracks.

Where to watch the Monaco E-Prix

Public grandstands are placed around the harbour. We do not have confirmed names, so read the category descriptions when sales open. With a double-header you can also vary your viewpoint by choosing a different category on each day if the options allow.

Getting to the Monaco E-Prix and where to stay

Monaco is reachable by train, with the Monaco-Monte-Carlo station close to the action, or by travelling in from Nice airport. Trains tend to be the calmest way to arrive on race days when roads fill up.

Where to sleep for a Monaco E-Prix weekend

Accommodation in Monaco itself is limited, and many visitors choose to stay in Nice or Menton and commute. Booking early helps for a weekend like this. Our Motorsport travel guides 2027 have more on timing and planning.
