Rally Islas Canarias 2027: WRC asphalt on Gran Canaria

Rally Islas Canarias 2027 dates

Rally Islas Canarias 2027 runs from 6 to 9 May 2027 and is round five of the WRC 2027 calendar. In 2026 the rally took place on 23-26 April, so the 2027 event is a couple of weeks later in the spring. The base is Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. The date is confirmed and the itinerary is not yet published.

It follows the Croatia Rally and precedes Rally Japan. The full list is on the WRC 2027 calendar.

Why Rally Islas Canarias is a mountain asphalt test

The rally is run on asphalt, using Gran Canaria's mountain roads. Island roads tend to be twisty, with changes in elevation and sudden changes in road surface, so crews have to adapt quickly across a day.

Rally Islas Canarias 2027 stages

The 2027 route has not been published and we do not name stages. We will update this page when the organiser releases the itinerary.

Spectating at Rally Islas Canarias 2027

Spectator points are on the island's mountain roads and are shown on an official map. Use them and nothing else, because roads close well before the first car. Winding mountain roads mean travel times between points can be longer than the distance suggests, so allow extra time.

Where to stay for Rally Islas Canarias 2027

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the base and the most convenient place to stay. Book early, as flights and rooms for an island event fill up. We do not name specific properties. See the Motorsport travel guides 2027 for planning tips.
