8 Hours of Bahrain 2027: date and format

The season finale takes place over the weekend of 4-6 November 2027, with the race on Saturday 6 November. It is round 9 of nine on the WEC 2027 calendar, and it follows the 6 Hours of Fuji by about six weeks. The date is confirmed, but the timetable has not been released.

The venue is the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. At eight hours, it is longer than the six-hour rounds but much shorter than Le Mans, which makes it a good length for a fan who wants a full race without an overnight vigil.

Because the weekend ends the season, expect a busy atmosphere in the paddock and a lot of attention on the final result, as well as plans for the winter break.

The 2026 Bahrain round was cancelled because of the regional situation, and the championship replaced it, along with the Qatar round, with races at Barcelona and Monza.
