The Qatar 1812 km is round 1 of nine on the WEC 2027 calendar. The race weekend runs from 25 to 27 March 2027 at the Losail International Circuit, near the city of Lusail, and the race day falls on 27 March. The date has a confirmed status, but the timetable has not been released, so session times are still to be announced.

The name tells you the format. Instead of being defined by a number of hours, the race is defined by distance, 1812 km, which takes about ten hours to complete. That makes it longer than the 6 Hours rounds that follow, such as the 6 Hours of Imola, and a good test of reliability at the start of the year.

It has been the traditional season opener of the championship since 2023, which means the field arrives with new cars, fresh liveries and a lot of questions.

Racing at Losail is built around the evening.
