Bristol Night Race 2027 at Bristol Motor Speedway: Saturday Under the Lights

The Bristol Night Race and the calendar

The Bass Pro Shops Night Race occupies Thursday 12 August to Saturday 14 August 2027, and is a Saturday event rather than the usual Sunday. In 2026 the equivalent race was held on 19 September, so the move forward to mid-August is a notable change. The date is confirmed; session times will be released by the organiser. The spring race is covered at NASCAR Bristol April.

Bristol Night Race: the bowl at its loudest

The half-mile concrete oval has steep banking, and the grandstands rise on every side. At night the floodlights and the roar of the crowd give it the feel of an indoor arena, and there is nowhere in the stands to avoid the noise. Cars are close together, tempers flare, and the end of the race is rarely quiet.

Bristol Night Race seats

Seats are currently listed with our partner sellers via the Tickets button. Think about height: sitting high shows the complete bowl, while lower rows bring the cars very close. Demand tends to be strong for the night race, so waiting can narrow choices.

NASCAR Bristol: travel and weather for a night in Tennessee

The track is at Bristol, on the Tennessee-Virginia line, in the Appalachian foothills. Evenings are usually warm in August, with a chance of thunderstorms. Drive from Knoxville, Roanoke or Charlotte, or fly to a regional airport in the Tri-Cities. Allow plenty of time for the narrow roads leaving the circuit after a late finish. The preceding round was San Diego, and the next stop is St. Louis. The whole list sits on the NASCAR 2027 schedule.
